My passion for healing work is rooted in my commitment to community anti-racism and social justice advocacy, trauma work, and sexuality education. My path has included working in various mental health agencies, on the streets organizing and activism, literature and writing studies, and working abroad on human rights concerns.

My practice is queer and trans affirming and I welcome anyone who identifies under the LGBTQIA+ umbrella. I am also a sexuality educator  and I am committed to being a sex positive therapist, which means I am kink aware, polyamory & nonmonogamy affirming, and sex worker affirming.

My work is trauma-informed and takes seriously the mind-body impact of traumatic experience, whether the source is a one time incident, a relationship dynamic, or an oppressive system.

I am passionate about access to mental health resources, and therefore my practice includes a set number of sliding scale and pro bono options. I am devoted to bridging the gap between healing and justice by making explicit the ways in which culture and identity are tied to our experiences of wellbeing as we move through the world.

Finally, I bring to the therapy room an immense amount of compassion, creative thinking, enthusiasm, and humor.

And very lastly: a few identity markers that are important to me include that I use she/they pronouns. I am a queer femme, an animal lover, an eclectic witch, a proponent of BLM, pro-weed legalization, and anti-oppression. Cheers!

About Me

I bring to my work a holistic blend of cognitive, emotional, and body-oriented therapies, depending on what the client needs in the moment. These approaches include:

  • Attachment

  • Internal Family Systems

  • EMDR

  • Somatic Experiencing

  • Narrative therapy

Taken together, my approach acknowledges that human existence is complex and involves a number of factors, including our cultural context.

This approach is non-pathologizing and maintains that you are the expert on your self and experience. In therapy, we work as a team to uncover what you need and to figure out how to get there.
